1200°C以上の高温で焼き上げることで、絵柄が釉薬に溶け込み、滑らかな手触りと高い耐久性を実現しています。

"The Four Guardians of the Heavens: Shijin Collection."

The "Shijin" are the four mythological creatures that guard the four cardinal directions in ancient Japanese and East Asian cosmology. This Mamezara collection beautifully depicts these celestial guardians using the In-glaze technique from the historic pottery region of Mino, Japan.

Genbu (North): The tortoise and serpent, symbolizing longevity and health.

Suzaku (South): The vermilion bird, representing rebirth and prosperity.

Byakko (West): The white tiger, a symbol of strength and protection.

Seiryu (East): The azure dragon, embodying success and wisdom.

Fired at over 1200°C, the illustrations are fused directly into the glaze, making these plates not only stunning to look at but also incredibly durable and safe for both microwaves and dishwashers.
